The budget is nearly upon us but don’t let the changes distract you from some basic tax planning that is still possible before the 5th April. Investing in an ISA, using your annual capital gains tax allowance, making pension contributions and various other measures are all straightforward and effective. It’s not rocket science, as they say. Though I was very careful not to use the phrase last Saturday when we had a real, live rocket scientist to dinner. Hard to resist though!
